Winders / Unwinders

The unwinders and winders from hpl-Neugnadenfelder Maschinenfabrik GmbH combine precision, robust construction and energy efficiency. They are designed for reliable and safe winding and unwinding of ferrous and non-ferrous metal strip.

The standard reel consists of a traversing unit, base frame, reel shaft and drive train. Customer-specific equipment such as integrated sensors, actuators, hydraulic circuits, hold-down arms and coil pushers can be added to match your production requirements.

Our robust and flexible systems safely handle coil weights from 10 kg to 45 tonnes and coil diameters from 150 to 2,200 mm. Their ergonomic design simplifies operation and maintenance and helps minimize downtime.

Drive power is precisely configured for the production task. Motoring and regenerative operation enable energy recovery, while redundant hydraulic safeguards, support rollers and sensor systems provide a high level of operator safety.

Reel shaft diameters are adapted to your requirements. Attachment segments or exchangeable heads allow rapid conversion for different coil diameters.

Expanding mandrels, hold-down arms and hydraulic or motor-driven traversing units support safe coil transfer and a straight winding pattern in both single- and multi-strip operation. A paper winder can also be integrated at any time.
